The veterinarian on staff is Melanie L. Brazil, DVM, practicing in Las Vegas for over 20 years. Dr. Brazil is a graduate of University of California at Davis and completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Sacramento, California.

Dr. Brazil enjoys any outdoor activities and training for sprint triathlons. Her three cats allow her to live in their home along with her wonderful Pomeranian mix dog named "Ringo". 

Melanie Brazil also has 2 two-legged "kids", Greg and Mark, described by her as the best sons in the entire world!!

Dr. Brazil established the Spay & Neuter Center due to the need for such services in the Las Vegas area. After spending time visiting and evaluating several spay and neuter facilites throughout Arizona and California (also licensed in AZ and CA) Dr. Brazil was able to combine the best aspects of the hospitals. She developed a first class facility and is able to offer the affordable/low cost services that are needed in Las Vegas.
